I blogged this entry awhile ago, during preparation for exams. Ah
well, it's still funny to revisit my mental state during that time. So
here it is:

This entry has been a long time coming. Funnily enough, I have chosen
to blog during my exam study period. You know how it is, when any
excuse not to study will do! I have been going to the gym. Going
swimming. Visiting the local shopping centre, even though I know I
don't need anything in there. Doing the puzzle sections of the
newspaper. And watching a heck of a lot of TV! (Dr Phil in particular LOL)
(cont.)
I am going to attempt to do hw at the library, where there is an
intellectual climate, unlike at home where I'll be smothered by an all-devouring blanket of procrastination.
Thursday, April 07, 2005

This was written in response to my friend's blog
http://www.xanga.com/item.aspx?user=janainpyjamas&tab=weblogs&uid=237646560

That's very freaky !! Thanks for destroying any hope I had of
sleeping soundly tonight (don't worry i didn't have much hope in the first
place), I am officially and utterly scared! And you just went offline too! lol
deserter! jk hehe. You know Jana, you're not the only one with a bad spirit
following you, if in fact that is the case. I've heard from only too many of my
friends (mostly girls though) who experience EXACTLY the same patterns of being
half-conscious, pinned down and incapable of any movement. My theory (premised
upon my psyc studies lol) was that they were experiencing the deepest stage of
sleep. During this stage of sleep your the muscles of your body delve into a
state of paralysis - so it may feel like your being pinned down - when in fact
your body is totally relaxing the muscles to rejuvinate and prepare for the
next day's activities. I don't know if it's valid or not and I sure as hell
dunno how you could experience consciousness in the deepest stage of sleep;
that's why i'm scared! Cackling laughter in the background doesn't sit too well
with me either!

While we're on this supernatural spray, I might as well tell
you about the freaky incidents occurring after my great grandmother's death.
She had unfortunately died of heart complications also. A few days after her
funeral my family held a wake at her small flat apartment where we all came
together to eat. Her small apartment had a main
entrance area which consisted of the lounge and kitchen. There was a single
door which cut off this main entrance, from two bedrooms and a bathroom within.
My cousin, on that night, had gone through this door to proceed to the
restroom. A short while afterwards, the
door separating her from the rest of us, suddenly slammed shut. It was a sound
that was loud enough to make everyone outside turn around. My aunt went over to
open the door. It wouldn’t budge. I could hear my cousin inside – only 12 years
old – she was scared, crying and banging helplessly on the door from the inside. My
aunt, hearing her cry, began to twist the door knob harder and with more force.
It was only when my uncle went to the door, wringing the door knob ferociously
whilst screaming out ‘mother open the door!’ that it finally opened.

Proceeding from the events at the wake, there were also a
number of other occurrences. Two of my cousins tell me
that whilst they were taking a shower (at different times and in different homes), they felt another presence in the room
and when they went to dry their hair they saw great grandmother’s
face in the mirror.
Another one of my cousins tells me that whilst she was in
the shower she saw a pair of feet wearing slippers below the shower curtains standing beyond. But
when she checked to see who it was, there was no one and nothing there.

Man I’m getting goosebumps just typing this out,
and in the
darkness of my room, it’s really beginning to odd me out! I still have
many of such disturbing anectdotes to tell but for tonight, that's it.

Signing off now to keep my paranoia from eating me up alive .

days pass by, but my grandparents aren't just any grandparents. they
still maintain their awesome positive view to life and no matter what,
they never cease to pour out that warm fuzzy goodness, that is
distinctly their own, to their children and their grandchildren. they
are super-grandparents I tell you! no less. I am very proud to call them my
own. my deepest wish is for them to live forever.

I love being naive and ignorant but i don't think it works for me anymore, sadly.

"you will never know how much you love someone until the day you lose them forever"

sounds like some old cliche dun' it? my friend's grandma died the other
day, and she's travelling tmr to shanghai for her funeral. that's the
cold truth. my heart really goes out to her. hearing such news has made
me freeze and think. I am so worried about my own grandparents. it
makes me feel that I have to make the most of my time with them. I love
them so much and the day that they pass away will be the day that, I know,
I will be missing a large part of myself.

my grandparents will live forever, and as will your grandmother my dear friend .
uno what I heard? when grandparents pass away, they turn into the stars
that smile down upon us from the night sky. there they stay, still
pouring their warm fuzzy goodness, not only to their children and their
grandchildren, but throughout the whole universe also.

LOL my gramps just told me to go to sleep and I've decided that I will listen to him tonight.
Thursday, March 24, 2005

Heyas guys whatsup! I am so HAPPY lar today, and guess why?
Bc it's break time! woohoo. Which means, no uni for a week! oooh yeeah.
/daniel breaks into a little dance
lol

Here's a pic that was taken awhile ago (myself and kerri). It was at Luciness' party! I drank and drove that night (but only a short distance to my friends house) so I was a bloody idiot heeheehee . Looking back it was so stupid ay. I really discourage this sort of conduct. I could've lost my license !

Picture comment: Man, my eyes are super-chinky. Isn't Kerry cute?<IMG src="http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y82/disgreenturtle/CIMG0593.jpg" ?>

I've been frequenting the gym lately. Whoa watch out lol. (I know) This is pretty uncharacteristic of the lethargic, un-motivated, phased side of me. But the one time my cousin brought me along; I didn't think it was THAT bad; it was actually quite fun. And plus, anyone could always use abit of extra muscle..right? (esp. daniel) I'm not quite up to the muscle part yet lol I've got to cardio it out on the treadmeal, to rid myself of excess insulation first! uno..The little alpha male in me (lol) is really brought to the fore when we c how much weight we can push. I get real aggressive haha.

Got to scoot, my courz is on the way over and we're goin to the gym again. Man I am gonna b pretty sore tmr, but hopefully healthier lol.

Take care you guys, I will be posting again soon. Procrastination is my forte, especially now when I'm having my Easter break!

Saturday, March 19, 2005

Evening, or should I say a remarkably early morning guys! Yes, yes I am
back. I knew you would be disappointed if I didn't post again !
(Daniel speaks out to the deathly silence of the night) So how have you
all been since the last time? Good, good yeah that's really great .
Anyhow, back on to the topic of ME now. I have two things to tell you
tonight; the GOOD news, and then, there is the BAD news. Re-re-rewind!
The BAD news..then the GOOD news. So I don't have to leave on a bad
note. (I've always wanted to do that DJ stint lol)

The bad news starts like this...
Today after I finished work, I caught a lift (as did a couple of my
other friends) in my friend's car. And ten minutes after we hopped in,
we were involved in a car crash! It all happened really quickly, I was
looking over at ying who was sitting next to me and joking rnd, talking
about how I should have gotten a lift with my uncle bc I would have
gotten more sleep that way, then BAM! It seemed as though everything
was in slow motion, for one increadibly stretched-out second that
seemed to last forever; my body was thrown forwards against the
restrictive tug of the seatbelt and then viciously, it was whipped
backwards.

A taxi that was creeping out of a slip lane had gone too far into our
car's pathway, thus resulting in our car going into its right side.

The SCARY bit is:
Before we got to the car, ying and I were fighting like crazy for the
front seat. We didn't know where Jenny had parked the car so we were
running at any black-ish corolla looking thing and fighting to open the
front door. Yes we are very immature lol. And man, ying is one strong
girl (either that or I'm just weak lol). Anyway, eventually ying
and I agreed that we'd both sit at the back bc I wasn't going to let
her sit there and nor was she going to let me, so my other friend took
the front seat. Now, our car hit the taxi from the front-left side,
which is where either one of us would've been if we had taken the
front-seat. My friend Paul who was sitting at the front was very lucky
bc he had raised his knees the second before the crash. He had stopped
himself from hitting heads first onto the glove box which would have
been at the very least, very painful.
Afterwards ying said the scariest thing; "If you had gone with your
uncle you would have had more sleep. If you had sat in the front seat
you would have some sleep alright, you would have slept forever!" I was
like what the fuck? So I beat her up. (nah, not really, I just poked her and tickeld her lol but like in a really MANLY way)

Well the car crash ordeal is over. I'm super-glad that no one (esp my
friends) was hurt. We only collected a few minor bruises (my arm
really hurts), which I'm sure will make the
car crash story extra interesting to those that we tell lol (lookie at
my bruise, it's proof! lol). The taxi driver probably deserved more hurt
than he got though, the dumbass! I'll give him some hurt! ANGER sigh.

I know, I know, you thinking: MAN this guy is writing a fricking
essay! You're damn right I am. I have the right to, I just had a
near-death bloody experience !! Tomorrow
is a new day. A day of self-discovery. A day of finding new meaning!
Uhh yea, tomorrow's a sunday...so I guess I'll end up sleeping in,
scrap all that stuff I said before lol.

Ok this is dragging on.. to the GOOD news! I promise this will be super-quick (so stay please). I have found CHERYL woohoo! And I'm sure she will be reading this so a big HII lol.

Daniel is tired now.. and I think I'm over this car crash thing. I'm gonna go catch some z's.
Have fun you guys, let's hope my arm doesn't drop off tonight, oh and drive safe!

Heys, this is my first
blog. EVER. haha I'm excited peoples . It's currently 4:00AM in the
morning and dammit I got class commencing from 9:00AM tmr till 6:15PM.
I am going to be so DEAD zzzz . Ah well. Things don't always work out
the way you want them to; this applies ESPECIALLY to my screwed up
sleeping pattern! On the bright side, at least I've read my stupid
stupid law materials. They are so boring. Help me. Someone. Anyone. Hit
me over the head with a textbook! Lol Hey, I just had my first 'moment'
of crazy-blogging-nonsense-talk ! Talking shit has never been so good
haha and YOU (choose to) read it. It's great. I'd hate to be on your
end of the bargain. btw I love you guys. ^_^ (feel free to comment on
how insensitive I am to reader's feelings)
Btw to the point of why I set up this xanaga site! (This is where you
pay attention) I am looking for my long-lost friend. Her name is
Cheryl. I met her..mm..let's say 6 years ago (forgive me if I'm wrong.
Bad memory) when I went on a snow trip with my family and her family.
It was so much fun! Well anyways. I've since lost contact with her bc
we haven't spoken for AGES. It seems now, that every trace of her has
gone missing. So PLEASE, if you are reading this Cheryl, call me on
1800 DANIEL IS (such a) LOSER . (coz that is what you would be thinking
when reading this lol) Honestly I don't care. As long as I find out how
you're going and where you are currently. It'd be sweet as. haha I am
so MEGA-bored, and seeing what idle time has lead me to do. It's pretty
funny don't cha think?
Cheers and toodles y'all.
(I may or may not post again so take care!)
Daniel ^_-
